Temple Run

29/9/13 – 

 

Ok so I didn’t run but we went to the temple today and then visited Nana’s mum and dad so that makes them Per Nana and Per Nani (Great Grand Parents).  

It was again a lovely day and instead of taking the car or going on the bus we slowly walked all the way to the temple.  It was a very nice long walk and I loved the exercise.

28/8/13 – Time with Khaylen

 

I spent a lot of time with my brother today. I was helping Mummy and Nani to change him and I played with him when they were busy tidying up.  Khaylen makes funny noises and makes me smile.

Raksha Bandhan 2013

21/8/13 - 

 

Today is Raksha Bandhan, Khaylen woke up several times in the early morning and I think Mummy was a little tired but we all woke up early and got ready.  Mummy told me that Raksha Bandhan is a day when the sister ties a special bracelet (a rakhi) on their brother’s right hand to protect them from evil spirits and any bad things that might happen and in return my brother will protect me.  

At the Park

20/8/13 - At the Park with Mummy and Khaylen

 

It was a beautiful bright day today and Mummy said we should all go to the park.  The park had a big silver slide that curved around as well as swings and roundabouts.  It was fun playing on the slide; I was a little scare to go through the beginning as it was a little dark but I was brave and sled down.  Mummy was very proud of me and Khaylen sat in his buggy laughing.  I think he wanted to go on the slide as well. We stayed at Nani and Nana’s house today. 

 Mama and both my Masi’s were there for a little while before they went to bed as they had to get up early for work. 

Samatra Gaam Annual Function 2013

18th August 2013

Today is a very excitinng day for me.  I have been going to dance practices for a very long time and today is the day we all get to perform.  We arent the youngest performers but we are still you.

The function usually lasts the whole day.  Starting with sports activities and ending with everyone dancing and doing raas garba and dandhiya raas.

I got up really early and as I was so excited I went running into my parents room and shouted "wake up, wake up you sleepy heads, it's the day of my performance today'.   After I woke my parently up they slowly got ready and helped me get ready in my Indian outfit.  Mummy helped to get my hair done and looking great.  Papa helped by making breakfast and ensuring i didn't make a mess on my outfit.

Khaylen was still sleeping while I was having breakfast but he soon woke up when it was his feeding time.  I gave him the biggest hug and kiss I could, I love my little brother, next time he can dance with me on stage and have fun.

When we got to the function the weather was great and they had bouncy castles and fun games to play.   I had to get changed into my performance outfit and be ready to perform.  

All the performers had to eat earlier than the parents and other people then we would have the energy we needed to perform. 

The performance was great and everyone cheered and whistled louder than they did for all the other performance.  Our teacher said that we very fantastic and we were all given a prize for our perfect performance. 

I didn’t’ think it was perfect.  Dhruvi made a mistake and was standing in the wrong place so it wasn’t the best it could be but I know that I performed the best that I could and Papa always says that it’s great to be perfect but it’s better to have fun and do the best you can and that’s all he would every ask of me.

Papa was filming us at first when we got on stage and then my lovely cousin brother Harshil took over when papa had to come on stage for a short while near the end of the song.

We watched the other performances and cheered and clapped after they finished their dances.  My cousin Binal was also taking part in a dance performance and she was brilliant, I wish I could dance like her.  I will ask her to teach me when I’m older.

After all the performances finished we all got changed into clothes we could relax and play in.  I wore a dress with flowers on.  Mummy helped me get changed and she gave me the tightest of hugs and said ‘Well done my angel, you were fantastic’.  All I said was ‘I already know that!!!’ with a cheeky smile and pulling a funny face.

Mummy and Khaylen were feeling a little tired and wanted to go home but I want to stay and play on the bouncy castle.  Mummy took Khaylen and went home in our car and rested while Papa stayed and let me play on the various bouncy castles.  I had so much fun that I didn’t want to leave but the day was coming to an end and slowly everyone has started to leave.  ‘Papa, how are we going to get home?  Mummy has taken the car.  “Don’t worry sweatheart, Govind bapa will give us a lift back, I have already spoken to him while you were play.”

So we got a nice ride home and both mummy and Khaylen were asleep so Papa didn’t disturb them.  I wasn’t very hungry but I asked if I could watch a movie and eat popcorn.  Papa as always said “only if you promised to go to bed straight after.”  I promised and then we watched the movie ‘Harry Potter’ and ate popcorn.  I cuddled up to Papa during the scary bits and he put his arms around me and gave me a nice tight squeeze to reassure me that I will be safe.

Sleepy time

12th August 2013 -

Papa said that I must have been sleep walking in the morning because when he went downstairs to feed Khaylen I snuck into his bed and fell asleep. In and remember it but papa showed me the photo of me sleeping in his bed.  Khaylen then found his way to the sofa so Papa cod eep there either.

11th August 2013

11th August -

Today was going to be busy day. It is my parents 11th wedding anniversary Nd dada and dadi have something religious happening at their house. 

Because it was going to be very long and noisey mummy stayed at home with Khaylen. He was very happy and wide awake in the morning. Mummy helped to get me dressed into a very nice Indian outfit and mummy after my hair. It looked very cool.

At dada and dadis house I played with Milan and Sejal until we had to sit and do the prayers. It got a little boring after a while, but it was lunchtime and we all set out.  After the prayers had finished we went home and I fell asleep straight away.

Gullivers Land

9th August 2013 -

Mummy and papa had dropped Khaylen off to Nani's house yesterday so that they can play with him. So instead to staying at home today Papa and mummy got ready really early and we went for a drive. It seemed a little boring as we were just driving on a big long road ( a. Dry very long road called a 'The Motorway'.  

We parked up in a small car park and when I got out I realised that we were at 'Gullivers Land'. I was super happy and gave both of my parents a massive hug. 

I cannot describe in words how much fun I had on that day. It was a great day.
